The enemy that blinds us will be crushed in his own temple

The mighty noble knight David Cashmore and myself were at 6am prayer today, Dodi was there briefly but had to go to work.  I prayed as recently expressed on here for Steven Ogilvy who was the tragic victim of the recent brutal attack in Belfast, that he would wake up from the induced coma he's in with God having done a creative miracle and given him new eyes, and I invite you brothers to agree with me and intercede for him in faith along those lines!

Suddenly I was struck by the prophetic nature of this attack. There was someone in the bible who had his eyes put out by a cruel enemy - Sampson. (And to mirror this in the new covenant, Jesus used the mud dirt we humans are created from by God to give new eyes to a man born blind).

Yet we know how the Sampson story ends. We are all blinded by our sin and unbelief, yet God will and does give us new vision and sight when we come into kingdom realities.

Not long after Sampson had had his eyes taken from him by the cruel oppressors of God's people, the now humbled Sampson surrendered himself to repentance and made his peace with God, having previously operated under the covering of Nazarite vow taken by his parents. Yet till then he had not yielded himself, despite the great strength God blessed him with on account of his parents' vow. The result was his pride and self sufficiency and blindness led him to succumb to the wiles of Delilah, a woman who was not one of God's people and led him astray and betrayed him.

The now humbled Sampson, brought out in chains to endure the mockery of his tormentors,  asked a humble slave boy (unnamed servants in the Bible typify the Holy Spirit) to lead him to where he could lean on and topple the very pillars on which the temple of the vile Philistine oppressors stood. And Sampson brought the enemy's entire edifice of oppression and denial of the God of Israel crashing down on their heads, and he slaughtered more of God's enemies in his death than he had in life.

We have an enemy in this land who is seeking to gouge out and blind our spiritual eyes and plunge us into spiritual darkness.

Let us be led by God's spirit to where we can topple the very pillars undergirding their false worship, and see their false temple come down on their own heads.

I pray God performs such a sign and wonder in restoring Steven Ogilvy's eyes, that muslims will realise the Christian God is the true God and leave Islam in droves and the false temple of Islam is brought crashing down in this nation!
