The enemy that blinds us will be crushed in his own temple

The mighty noble knight David Cashmore and myself were at 6am prayer today, Dodi was there briefly but had to go to work.  I prayed as recently expressed on here for Steven Ogilvy who was the tragic victim of the recent brutal attack in Belfast, that he would wake up from the induced coma he's in with God having done a creative miracle and given him new eyes, and I invite you brothers to agree with me and intercede for him in faith along those lines! Suddenly I was struck by the prophetic nature of this attack. There was someone in the bible who had his eyes put out by a cruel enemy - Sampson. (And to mirror this in the new covenant, Jesus used the mud dirt we humans are created from by God to give new eyes to a man born blind). Yet we know how the Sampson story ends. We are all blinded by our sin and unbelief, yet God will and does give us new vision and sight when we come into kingdom realities. Not long after Sampson had had his eyes taken from him by the cruel oppressors of God...

Christ in the Sampson story

Judges 14:5-9 NIV [5] Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. [6] The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.... ... [7] Then he went down and talked with the woman, and he liked her. [8] Some time later, when he went back to marry her, he turned aside to look at the lion’s carcass, and in it he saw a swarm of bees and some honey. [9] He scooped out the honey with his hands and ate as he went along. When he rejoined his parents, he gave them some, and they too ate it. But he did not tell them that he had taken the honey from the lion’s carcass. Judges 14:13-14 NIV [13] ...“Tell us your riddle,” they said. “Let’s hear it.” [14] He replied, “Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.” For three...

Supernatural God encounters in the Swiss Mountains and Brazilian drug and prostitution ghettos...

Something happened to me skiing on top of a mountain on my own in St Moritz, Switzerland! I used to go late season, skiing in T shirts in April right up in the high part of the resort - every day in the ski lift we'd see the snow retreating further up the mountain.  Got a great tan!  But I remember skiing on my own with God's presence being very real, and the song going round my head 'I just wanna be where you are, living daily in your presence' if you know it... another time I was driving in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, and I reached a  certain bend at a certain altitude and bang... it was like I'd stumbled into a heavenly portal!  I just had to stop and soak in the moment!  I've heard of others having similar experiences in the Rockies.  There really are spiritual principalities over regions - both good and evil.  The air is thin in these places between heaven and earth - whereas over certain areas, often cities you sense a heaviness... Derby is ...

When God's enemies make themselves repulsive, they lose heavily...

Having read today the story of Joab in 2 Samuel 10, this verse jumped out at me... II Samuel 10:6 NKJV [6] * When the people of Ammon saw that they had made themselves repulsive to David *, the people of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth Rehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand foot soldiers; and from the king of Maacah one thousand men, and from Ish-Tob twelve thousand men. We definitely have a government today that has made itself repulsive to it's own people through it's obscene woke morals, and it's treasonous deference to islam and its refusal to defend it's own native population against illegal islamic takeover/occupation etc, with even the police siding with the  invaders over our own people - not much different to the quislings/traitors who sided with the enemy Nazis in occupied France (who got their come uppance at the end of the war, traitors always do!) Their response?  They think that by banding together with with lots of other enemies of G...

Christ consciousness v sin conciousness

The gathering on zoom this morning and Jamie's talk on the theme of Colossians 2.14-15 can I think be summed up this way - our christian lives shouldn't be spent struggling daily to be 'good enough' according the law, and if we can just 'be saved' it's enough - no, the devil will daily try to remind us of our daily pecadillos, the small stuff, and the big stuff to keep us focused on our sin, our failings, even if we run back to Jesus and think we've arrived, that's enough - but then wander back to being sin conscious and allowing the devil to rub our noses daily in our failings.   Spiritual maturity comes when we start from the place that our sins are forgiven, forgotten, God is not mindful of them and nor should we be!  We're not struggling daily to escape sin just to get to safety in Jesus - no!  We start from the point of being safe in him - and the idea is to follow him, every moment of every day!  Like him, do what we see the father doing, a...
