When God's enemies make themselves repulsive, they lose heavily...
Having read today the story of Joab in 2 Samuel 10, this verse jumped out at me...
II Samuel 10:6 NKJV
[6] *When the people of Ammon saw that they had made themselves repulsive to David*, the people of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth Rehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand foot soldiers; and from the king of Maacah one thousand men, and from Ish-Tob twelve thousand men.
We definitely have a government today that has made itself repulsive to it's own people through it's obscene woke morals, and it's treasonous deference to islam and its refusal to defend it's own native population against illegal islamic takeover/occupation etc, with even the police siding with the invaders over our own people - not much different to the quislings/traitors who sided with the enemy Nazis in occupied France (who got their come uppance at the end of the war, traitors always do!)
Their response? They think that by banding together with with lots of other enemies of God's people to create a seemingly overwhelming army - as our government does with the satanic cabal of globalist communists at the UK/EU/Fabian Society/Bilderbergers/Trilateral Commission etc, thinking that they can overwhelm and obliterate God's people both in Israel and the church.
But tragically for their sakes people like that don't understand that no matter their numbers, no matter how many alliances they make and the forces they amass - they are nothing but mere fodder for the armies of the living God, however numerically inferior they are - cos they that know their God shall go forth and do exploits!! There is noone like our God, Mighty to save!!
And so the story ends with them fleeing before Joab and David and his mighty men who slaughtered them in their tens of thousands...
II Samuel 10:13-14, 18 NKJV
[13] So Joab and the people who were with him drew near for the battle against the Syrians, and they fled before him. [14] When the people of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fleeing, they also fled before Abishai, and entered the city. So Joab returned from the people of Ammon and went to Jerusalem.
[18] Then the Syrians fled before Israel; and David killed seven hundred charioteers and forty thousand horsemen of the Syrians, and struck Shobach the commander of their army, who died there.
Finally when they saw whey were defeated, they made peace with David.
Notice that all that Joab and the people who were with him had to do was they DREW NEAR for the battle - and the enemy immediately fled in terror!! And so brothers must we engage in this battle, we mustn't hold back of flee what seems like overwhelming odds against us - but all we have to do in faith is DRAW NEAR to the enemy and he'll flee before us! Cos he knows who is in us and on our side, he knows he doesn't stand a chance we we stand against him! So he tries to terrify us and make us despair and withdraw as faithless lukewarm 'believers' do, but his threats are all LIES!!!
And in believing the enemies lies, God's people are needlessly defeated cos he is a paper tiger, a toothless lion, a snake drained of his venom by God's power and truth...
Same thing happened when the Syrians dared to engage David - notice David represents Christ in this battle, but Joab is his servant, yet the first battle was against him - Joab represents us, as servants and soldiers of Christ - the enemy tries to intimdate us first, he doesn't dare go up against Jesus! But once he's tried, and failed against us, if we but do our duty as believers and in obedience to our calling and position as warriors for Christ ENGAGE the enemy - as we do daily in prayer and intercession and evangelism and witness and overcome him by our testimony - we find that the enemy doesn't put up a fight, he flees like the defeated coward that he is... defeating him is child's play, and even children know this and have the childlike faith that we need!! And God hears their prayers and our prayers as his children!
Deuteronomy 33:26 NKJV
[26] *“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to help you, And in His excellency on the clouds.*
