This Storm Shall Pass

I'm sitting in the rain
Waiting for the storm to pass
I'm wondering again
How it will last for this time

Right there beside me
You're sleeping in my boat
Looking so peaceful
Though I'm worried we won't float.

And so I wake you
In my panic and fear
I'm feeling so scared now
Even though you are near

Lord don't you care I'm drowning
You say why am I afraid?
You've so little faith my child
Don't worry, I've got it made

And so you stand and scold my storm
Like a naughty child
Immediately the winds and waves obey
Cos they know who you are

And so I stand amazed at
Your great power
Hands that flung stars into space
Can throw my sins as far as
East is from the West

And so I know
Even my storms
Will work out for the best
