Prayers for Angie...
Please pray for my lovely swiss german lady friend Angie(Angelika). I accompanied her and chauffered her around Sheffield for a day of MRI's, consultant appointments and tests for breast cancer that has spread to her bones yesterday. They're not doing chaemo or radio, she'll be on cancer meds for life is the prognosis, fortunately no 'x years to live' pronouncements. So that's something to be grateful for, many prayers have been prayed for her already, but she's believing God for complete healing. She came to the UK 20+ years ago with Ellel ministries, praying for healing for others, so may she by our prayers and the prayers of others reap a harvest of prayer and intercession in her hour of need for the prayers she's prayed for others. Her faith and joy in all this trial is inspirational, but she's also had moments of tears and despair she told me. She has no family in the UK and few friends since moving to Rotherham for work as a care worker, so when asked to bring a friend or family member for her scan results, she asked me and I've said I'll support her through this.
(PS Angie said yesterday it seems unfair she's experiencing cancer (not 'she got cancer', words have power!) after praying for healing for so many others, but neither were Job's sufferings merited.
I encouraged her with this verse that sustained me in 2 years in hospital when God restored my lost hope, faith and joy...
Psalm 34:19 ESV
[19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
And this...
John 9:2-3 NLT
[2] “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?” [3] “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. *“This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.*
